Social Contribution/ Coexistence with the Community

Making contributions
to our customers and society

As a good corporate citizen, AIFUL promotes social contribution activities from the perspective of “what we can do for our customers and for society.”

To support the education of young adults

Sponsoring hackathons
Sponsoring hackathons

aihack Since March 2019, we have begun sponsoring hackathons to enhance the relationship with society and local communities, which is one of the activities that embody our management philosophy, "Earn the trust of society through corporate activity based in integrity."
The “a i ” of “a i h a c k” has two meanings: "show interest = love" for students who will lead the future and human resources in various specialized fields, and "AI" that reminds of technology.
We sponsored a hackathon program for university students at AIFUL, LIFECARD and AIRA & AIFUL, a group company in Thailand. Through this event, we hope to contribute to the development of local economic activity and retail finance, as well as to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“Hackathon” is a term coined from “hack” and “marathon.” In one event, teams of computer programmers compete with each other by intensively devising programs and services over a given period of time on a given theme.

Seminar for financial education

The AIFUL Group is working to improve the financial literacy of young adults and prevent them from financial troubles, such as holding financial and economic education seminars at universities and other educational institutions.

Seminar for financial education

In June 2023, the Japan Financial Services Association and four major money lending companies, including our company, established the Financial Literacy Improvement Consortium based on the belief that the money lending industry needs to unite to address financial crimes that are becoming increasingly sophisticated and complex, such as entrepreneurial, side job, part-time job scams and investment fraud targeting young adults.
